Urothelial Carcinoma (Urine Early Screening)
Name:Urothelial Carcinoma (Urine Early Screening)
Type:
Urothelial Carcinoma (UC) refers to epithelial cancer resulting from malignancy in the urothelial lining, which includes the epithelium of the renal pelvis, ureters, bladder, and parts of the posterior urethra and prostatic ducts.Bladder cancer accounts for approximately 90-95% of all UC cases, making it one of the most common malignant tumors of the genitourinary system. According to GLOBOCAN data, in 2020, there were 573,000 new cases of bladder cancer worldwide, ranking among the top ten most common malignant tumors.
Distinguish benign and malignant tumor in urothelium, including bladder cancer and upper tract urothelial carcinoma with high sensitivity(90.9% and 92.9%) and specificity(93%)
Help identify missed tumors by cystoscopy and ureteroscopy, particularly CIS and Ta stage tumor with 90% sensitivity, better than urinary cytology testing and FISH.
Compared to existing detection methods, there is a significant sensitivity advantage, reducing the rate of false negatives. With a specificity of 95%, the sensitivity for both bladder cancer (BC) and upper tract urothelial carcinoma(UTUC) remains above 90%!
